Here’s the 70-second video that was played at the event as first reported by Road to VR.

The video was mostly in Chinese but depicts a person using the AR- based shopping and voice control. It is more like a trip through a desk of accessories through virtual selection. Once a product is selected virtually, the details including the ratings are displayed. Also, a preview of the product in the real world gets displayed.

However, this is very similar to Lenovo’s PHAB PRO2, that uses Google’s TANGO as an AR Platform. But here, the display is mapped out without the use of any device right before your eyes. Although $1.3 Billion has been invested, the cost of this is not clear yet. The company has not even announced the release date of their Ar based shopping system. Magic Leap made another big announcement of their partnership with Lucas Films for Star Wars AR simulation. Although this was already known, it wasn’t announced officially by the startup.

The demo of Magic Leap’s Augmented Reality Shopping definitely has made us ponder over it. The undying curiosity of a clear working of this shall remain until its next demo is released.

Will this new Shopping system beat the craze of Pokemon Go is now the next big Question!
