Three captivating stories set across three unique dimensions.

This week Cartoon Network Studios dropped the first trailer for its upcoming VR gameCartoon Network Journeys VR. Developed by Cartoon Network Studios, Paper Crane Games, and TwinSky Games, the trippy cosmic adventure takes you on three different adventures set across three unique dimensions as you interact with an eclectic cast of eccentric characters.

Upon first beginning the experience, players are dropped into a serene desert oasis. It is here they’re introduced to Gormlorm (Reggie Watts), a time-traveling super wizard with the power to traverse the far reaches of the multiverse. With Gormlorm serving as a guide, players are thrust into three light-hearted adventures set across multiple dimensions.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the three cosmic journeys you’ll be traversing:

BEYOND BEEVILLE – As an outcast one-winged bee, you must save your colony from impending collapse by teaming up with your pollen companion, Penny. Explore the garden, solve puzzles, and discover secrets beyond the hive.

JEST TO IMPRESS – You are trying out as jester of the King’s court. As jester-in-training, you are presented with a series of escalating props and puzzles. The more the King laughs, the more jealous his personal bard becomes. If your comedic acts fall flat, prepare to become dragon food.

KOSMA KEWST – You have been summoned to the cosmic plane to become a potential replacement for Kosma, The Supreme Being, who is in desperate need of a vacation. Complete four metaphysical lessons of the cosmos and take your place on the celestial throne.

Based on the trailer, it looks as though players will be engaging in a variety of light-interactions, ranging from entertaining royalty by dancing like a fool and playing various intruments, to tending a cosmic garden and chilling in a hot tub with a couple of interdimensional swingers.

Journeys VR is a result of a collaboration between animators and artists during a collection of workshops conducted at Cartoon Network Studios’ VR Lab in Burbank, California; just the latest in a series of initiatives made by the studio to support both professional and amateur artists.
