Everyone craves for their dream homes to come to life. That’s where VR in Real Estate comes in nowadays. Virtual Reality and its said close cousin Augmented Reality, are fast becoming increasingly popular in digital product spheres. In comparison to AR where it allows the user to observe a model in the real-world environs through the device screens, VR lets the user dive deep into the virtual reality world.

What exactly is Virtual Reality?

Though there are numerous definitions of Virtual Reality, the one given by Jeremy Bailenson says, “VR is an experience generator. Because it is a digital medium, anything we can imagine seeing or hearing can be easily generated in a VR Environment.”

Virtual Reality uses amalgamation of computer hardware and software to represent different facets of the physical world to an individual in concurrent time.

Another simple definition of VR would be, “its manipulative software that messes with human senses which leads to them believing in that artificial environment.”

Walking through a beguiling home, getting awestruck by the gigantic glass window panes, the embellishing lights and chandeliers casting a soft hue, the classy and spacious modern kitchen, the glitzy tiles underneath your feet, the enchanting furnishings and all fades away as you remove the VR goggles and you’re back in the conference hall. That’s the strong suit of VR in Real Estate, letting you believe in an environment that’s not even real.

 Virtual Reality is a priority now;

In today’s world VR is such a necessity for the architectures, without virtual reality starting a project is next to impossible. The ginormous  structures, immense buildings, cosmopolitan statues, huge towers, glamorous houses are now made because of virtual reality. Earlier what used to be done by hand, making the project blueprints and samples is now done through the Graphics. Not only virtual images but virtual reality videos are also created now which basically gives the live-like example of the projects architects are working upon. All the virtual images when compiled together make up the virtual reality videos.

VR in Real Estate has so much prospective for architects and designers. As an immersive technology, it will transport users into a fully interactive three-dimensional surrounding, to help them get a real-life experience of a room, floor or a whole structure of a building.

Virtual Reality has been a part of us since a few decades, since 1968 to be exact, when the first Head-Mounted Display System was developed.

What are Head-Mounted Display (HMD) Systems?

Head mounted displays are the vital components of the VR headsets. The display device is like a helmet and projects real-life like images and allows a user to see through it.

VR in Real Estate is more accessible and affordable because of the popular head mount displays such as, Oculus Go, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest etc. The technology wasn’t flexible or leading enough until now. Virtual Reality has experienced a detonation from well past 5-6 years.

Bringing Thoughts to Reality

It takes a faction to bring a structure’s design from concept to reality. Thousands of ideas from numerous architects, designers, engineers and even the clients when compiled together form a virtual structure. Virtual Reality is very important to bring a person’s thoughts and ideas, become a virtual image.

User Experience, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality have emerged as the three pillars of innovative designing. AR and VR Technologies are something which is becoming quite common too because of all the competition. And that’s why designers are ready to take up new challenges to be on top.

When designing an interface for Virtual Reality Experiences, one should pay careful attention of customer’s needs. How the experience for them should be comfortable and intuitive while also trying at every stage to immerse components into all the narratives. That’s where User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) comes in.

What are UX and UI, You ask?

To put it lucidly, UX is important because it tries to satisfy the user’s requirements. It seeks to furnish real and affirmative experiences so that the user’s stick to their designs, products and brands. Whereas, UI design is important because it can turn the potential visitant into buyers, thus making one’s customer base. An Interface is the location where the user interacts with the software or hardware, the better the interaction between them, the more satisfaction it provides the user with which automatically leads to the company’s success. These two components of Virtual Reality are very important because of their basic functions for customer satisfaction.

Along with the entertainment, it also is very helpful in many fields such as, Driving simulations, Pilot Trainings, Astronaut Trainings, gaming’s etc. Our world is consumed by AR and VR Technologies from all sides without us even knowing.

When it comes to construction through Virtual Reality, an architectural firm working on a building or any other structure can give the clients a real life experience of the said future project. This also helps the architect to get the insight about the client’s ideas and needs. As well as it helps the clients to get a satisfactory end result. In near future Virtual Reality apps will let every home owner to build their dream houses according to their imagination and ideas.

 Cost Effective!

A well known architect company revealed in an interview that, “a virtual reality model can be 10 times cheaper than building an actual scale model.” Giving the customers a taste of what will be reality in near future, and getting alterations done according to their preferences is very cost effective.

Building Modish, Brisk and Secure

Expeditious meddling with designs and graphics before they’re set to build saves a lot of time and money. A bilateral model can pen down, how long it will take to build a structure or any project. From pouring concrete to roof laying and every step in between, VR can figure them out.

So, for the future that lies ahead of the humans, Virtual Reality is something which will become a very basic necessity in every aspect real soon.
